Our Story

Menchville House Ministries began in April 1998, inspired by the vision of three women who sought to create a shelter for homeless women and their children. This noble idea quickly gained traction within the Hampton Roads community, leading to the transformation of an 18-unit apartment building into a welcoming group home. In April 2001, the first family found refuge in this shelter, marking the beginning of a journey from hurt to hope.

Impact

Since its inception, Menchville House has provided emergency housing for over 4000 families, guiding them towards self-sufficiency and stability.
