Our Story

The Memphis Dawah Association (MDA) is a vibrant 501(c)(3) non-profit organization established in 2015, dedicated to serving the Oakhaven and Whitehaven communities. With a focus on multi-lingual and multi-ethnic outreach, MDA provides essential services such as ESL classes, lectures on Islamic faith, and African American history. As MDA relocates to a new facility, plans are underway to introduce a soup kitchen, farmer’s market, low-power radio station, and a small health clinic, all aimed at transforming the neighborhood and enhancing community welfare.
