Located in Boulder County, this innovative mental health organization has been transforming lives since 2000 by utilizing equine-facilitated psychotherapy and learning (EFP and EFL). By working closely with horses, therapists achieve remarkable therapeutic outcomes, providing hope and healing to at-risk youth and diverse populations.

Our Impact

Over the past 22 years, Medicine Horse has expanded its reach, offering free and donation-based equine-assisted therapy to veterans, women affected by breast cancer, LGBTQ+ youth, LatinX youth, families, individuals experiencing grief, and teens in substance abuse recovery. In 2022 alone, the organization provided 2266 hours of Equine Facilitated Therapy and Learning, demonstrating a commitment to accessible mental health care.
