Meals on Wheels San Antonio

Our Story

Founded in 1977 by compassionate individuals from St. John’s Lutheran Church and Grace Lutheran Church, Meals on Wheels San Antonio began its mission to provide meals and care to the elderly in need. Since launching home deliveries in 1980, the organization has expanded its services to include vital programs for seniors, such as Alzheimer's care. In 2018, it proudly became Meals on Wheels San Antonio, celebrating 40 years of dedicated service and extending its reach to neighboring counties.

Impact

In 2023, Meals on Wheels San Antonio delivered an astounding 1,825,587 fresh and nutritious meals, provided 57,496 pounds of pet food through the AniMeals program, and completed 512 home improvements for clients through the Comfy Casas initiative.
