Our Story
The McKim Center, established in 1821, is the oldest continuously active community center in the United States. Founded by John McKim, a Quaker merchant, it began as a free school for all children, regardless of background. Over the years, it has transformed into a vital community hub focusing on education, athletics, and community healing.
