Founded in 1975 by Monsignor Ignatius McDermott and Dr. James West, Haymarket Center is the largest not-for-profit community-based adult detoxification, residential, and outpatient substance use treatment facility in Chicago. This organization is dedicated to providing culturally competent, high-quality primary health care services to individuals experiencing homelessness and poverty, many of whom have justice system backgrounds.
