Our Story

The Maynard Jackson Youth Foundation was established in 1992 by Maynard Holbrook Jackson, the first African American mayor of Atlanta. This foundation provides a vital platform for young leaders to grow and learn about their roles in the community.

Through its Leadership Academy, the foundation has successfully prepared metro Atlanta's youth for college and leadership roles, helping them realize their potential.
