Our Story

The Maui Huliau Foundation, established in 2010, is dedicated to providing unique environmental education programs for the youth of Maui. Inspired by the need to engage young people in critical environmental issues, the foundation fosters a sense of responsibility and stewardship for their island home.

With a reach extending to thousands of youth across 25 schools in Maui, the foundation empowers the next generation of environmental stewards through hands-on projects and community engagement. Their filmmaking program has produced over 100 films, recognized in film festivals worldwide, amplifying the voices of Maui’s youth.
