Our Story

In 2001, Saint Matthew’s Episcopal Church recognized a pressing need for food assistance in the community. With the dedication of just three volunteers, the Saint Matthew’s Food Bank was born. By 2005, the food bank had grown significantly, prompting its transition to a secular organization known as Matthew's Crossing. Today, this 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serves over 124,000 individuals annually, thanks to the commitment of over 70 regular volunteers and 150 seasonal volunteers.
