Our Story

The Maternal Mental Health Leadership Alliance (MMHLA) was founded in 2019 to address the pressing mental health needs of mothers and childbearing individuals across the United States. This nonpartisan organization focuses on national policy and health equity, advocating for improved mental health care during pregnancy and postpartum.

Impact

In the U.S., mental health conditions are the most common complications of pregnancy and childbirth, affecting at least 1 in 5 mothers each year. MMHLA is dedicated to tackling this crisis through advocacy, partnerships, and the curation of vital information.

Why Donate?

Your donation to MMHLA is crucial in supporting their mission to enhance maternal mental health care. With 75% of women experiencing maternal mental health conditions not receiving necessary care, your contribution addresses a significant public health issue that impacts families and society.
