Our Story

The Material Aid and Advocacy Program began in 1944 as a response to the urgent needs of displaced individuals during World War II. Over 70 years later, MAAP continues to provide essential material support and advocate for systemic solutions to homelessness, poverty, and inequality. Since becoming an independent organization in 2017, MAAP has focused on empowering local communities and addressing the root causes of these pressing issues.
