Our Story

Master Arts Theatre was founded in 1985 by Pris McDonald and a group of passionate individuals who recognized the need for a Christ-centered community theater in Grand Rapids. The journey began with a successful touring Christmas show called “Emmanuel,” which sparked the vision for a permanent theater that would provide a platform for young actors to grow in their craft and faith.
