Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition
EIN: 86-1481200 · Worcester, MA
Our Story
The Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition was founded in 2015 by Brenda Jenkins and Celia J. Blue, driven by a vision to uplift women of color. Inspired by the activism of college students Florcy Romero and Cheyenne Jones, Brenda helped establish Women of Color in Solidarity, a network connecting female students with experienced leaders. Celia recognized the need for a dedicated focus on women of color through her work with the North Central Massachusetts Minority Coalition. Together, they formed a coalition to address the unique challenges faced by women of color and to amplify their voices for change.
Our Impact
Dedicated to eradicating racial inequities, the Massachusetts Women of Color Coalition fosters authentic inclusion across various sectors, benefiting all communities of color in the Commonwealth.
