Our Story

Founded in 1968, the Massachusetts Law Reform Institute (MLRI) emerged from the national movement to combat poverty initiated by the Economic Opportunity Act. As the statewide poverty law and policy support center, MLRI has dedicated itself to advocating for low-income individuals and communities across Massachusetts.
