Our Story

The Maryland International Day School was founded in 2001 by Esther Donawa to address the need for early foreign language education in Prince George’s County. Modeled after the Washington International School, MIDS offers an academically rigorous international education in a nurturing environment. Initially located in the Education Wing of the Oxon Hill United Methodist Church, the school now thrives in Fort Washington, Maryland.
