Our Story

Maryland Horse Rescue began in 2000, founded by a passionate advocate for equines in distress. The journey started with a single horse rescued from an abusive situation, leading to a growing commitment to provide a safe haven for horses in need. In 2016, the organization rebranded from HorseNet to Maryland Horse Rescue, reflecting its mission to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome abused and abandoned horses.

Impact

Currently, Maryland Horse Rescue cares for approximately 35 horses, offering them food, shelter, and love. Operating solely on donations and volunteer support, the organization is dedicated to providing a no-kill sanctuary for horses in any condition.
