Our Story
In the late 1940s, Dorothy Watts White, RN, and Mary Gooley recognized the urgent need for support and medical care for children with bleeding disorders. This vision led to the formation of a support group that evolved into the Rochester Chapter of the National Hemophilia Foundation. In 1959, they established one of the first hemophilia treatment centers in the country, providing essential care and support to individuals and families affected by these conditions.
