Founded in 1992, Martindale Brightwood Community Development Corporation (MBCDC) addresses the challenges faced by residents in the distressed neighborhoods of Martindale-Brightwood, northeast of downtown Indianapolis. Through strategic partnerships, MBCDC fosters a holistic community focused on housing and workforce development.
MBCDC has positively impacted over 75 small business owners through its Empowered Business Solutions program and has provided essential home repairs to ensure safe and affordable housing for residents. The organization also operates Indiana's only mobile YES program, offering job readiness training and paid workforce experience for youth ages 16-24.
