The Greater Canton Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission was established in 1992 to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and promote his teachings for the enhancement of community relations. This 501(c)(3) organization is driven by volunteers from the Canton and Stark County areas, united in their commitment to fostering racial harmony and community engagement.
Through various initiatives, the Commission has provided college scholarships, school supplies, and college tours, raising thousands of dollars to empower students in Stark County.
