Our Story
In the late 1950s, a dedicated group of local citizens recognized the urgent need for improved healthcare services in El Dorado County. They formed a committee to petition the state of California for a nonprofit charter, leading to the establishment of Marshall Hospital in July 1959. Named after pioneer James Marshall, whose gold discovery ignited the California Gold Rush, this hospital was built by the community for the community and has proudly served the residents of El Dorado County for over six decades.
