Helping Orphans and Misplaced Youngsters
Providing Education and Care for Children

Our Story

Founded by Eduardo Castañon and Jovita Godínez, Marsh Children’s Home is a sanctuary for orphans and misplaced youngsters in Acapulco, Mexico. Both founders were raised in the Latin American Orphanage run by Lawrence and Alice Marsh, who inspired them to dedicate their lives to helping children in need. After raising their own four children, Eduardo and Jovita opened Marsh Home to provide love, protection, and a nurturing environment for the next generation of vulnerable youth.

Since its inception, the home has grown from caring for 30 children to approximately 60, ensuring that every child has their own bed. Many of these children come from indigenous backgrounds in the impoverished Sierra Madre mountains, bringing with them hope and energy despite their challenging circumstances.

Impact

Marsh Children’s Home is committed to providing a safe haven for children aged 4 to 18, focusing on their emotional and educational needs. Each child is given the opportunity to thrive in a supportive environment, where they can retain their native language and culture while receiving the care they deserve.
