Our Story
Founded in 2021, Maroon Inc. draws inspiration from the Maroon people of Jamaica, who established resilient communities after escaping slavery. This nonprofit is dedicated to fostering community and providing training and equity solutions for education and small business leaders in New Orleans and throughout Louisiana. By applying an equity lens, Maroon ensures that inclusive practices are integrated into the policies and decisions of organizations.
Our Impact
Maroon has positively impacted over 1,500 educators and 300 small business owners, promoting equitable practices in both education and business leadership.
