Our Story

The Marion Art Center, officially incorporated in August 1957, is a vibrant non-profit community cultural organization dedicated to promoting the visual and performing arts. Born from the passion of Marion townspeople, including the Hornblowers theater group and art enthusiasts Betty Prewitt and Aileen Lubin, the MAC has a rich history intertwined with the artistic legacy of the Gilded Age. Today, it stands as a hub for arts and culture in the SouthCoast community, continually evolving through significant renovations and diverse programming.

Impact

The MAC enriches the SouthCoast community by providing a vibrant arts experience through various programs, classes, and events, fostering creativity and cultural engagement.
