Our Story

Founded in 2003 and established as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in 2015, Marin Foster Care Association (MFCA) is dedicated to supporting the well-being of all children within the dependency system. Responding to the Resource Family Approval Act of 2017, MFCA expanded its mission to serve traditional foster families, foster-to-adopt families, and all Resource Families. As the primary provider of foster care support services in Marin County, MFCA transforms crises into opportunities for healing and security.
