This initiative aims to reverse the erasure of mariachi women’s performance, history, and contributions, recognizing and empowering them as important artists in a male-dominated tradition.

Since its inception, the foundation has launched the world’s first annual International Mariachi Women’s Festival and provides various educational programs to keep the mariachi tradition alive, empowering women and girls in the mariachi genre.
