Our Story

The Marge Williams Center was established in memory of a beloved community figure, Marge Williams. After her passing in 1998, the Bainbridge Island community rallied together, raising over $400,000 to purchase and renovate a building at 221 Winslow Way. This transformation created a dedicated space for local nonprofit organizations, officially opening its doors in 2001. The center has played a pivotal role in revitalizing downtown Bainbridge Island and underwent significant renovations in 2016 to enhance its facilities and promote energy self-sufficiency through solar power.

Impact

The Marge Williams Center serves as a vital hub for nonprofit organizations on Bainbridge Island, providing affordable office space and essential resources that empower these organizations to thrive and effectively serve the community.
