Our Story

Since 1908, Maot Chitim of Greater Chicago has been dedicated to serving the Jewish community by providing food and programs that allow individuals and families to celebrate Jewish holidays with dignity and joy. Volunteers from diverse backgrounds unite to pack and deliver food boxes, ensuring that those in need can partake in traditional holiday celebrations.

Impact

Each year, Maot Chitim delivers approximately 4,800 individual boxes, feeding close to 16,000 people during Passover and Rosh Hashanah, thanks to the efforts of over 1,200 volunteers. The organization also supports Holocaust survivors and collaborates with community partners to combat food insecurity.
