Our Story

Many Mouths One Stomach (MMOS) is a vibrant collective of artists, educators, and community activists based in Tucson, Arizona. Founded in 1995, MMOS became a 501c3 organization in 2006 to manage the All Souls Procession, a powerful public ceremony that honors the lives of loved ones and ancestors. This event, which began as a performance piece by artist Susan Johnson, has grown to attract over 200,000 participants annually, creating a legacy of public celebration through art and community collaboration.

Our Impact

MMOS organizes the All Souls Procession, one of North America's most authentic public ceremonies, bringing together over 150,000 people to celebrate and remember their ancestors. The organization also provides free workshops and community events that foster creativity and collective healing.
