Our Story

Many Hopes was born from the heartbreaking story of a six-year-old girl named Gift, who faced unimaginable challenges after losing her mother to AIDS. Left to care for her infant brother on the streets of Mombasa, Gift's journey took a turn when a compassionate journalist intervened, providing her with shelter and education. Inspired by Gift's resilience, Many Hopes was established in Boston to rescue and empower children like her.

Impacting Lives Globally

Today, Many Hopes partners with visionary leaders across six countries in Africa and Latin America, transforming the lives of countless children. The Arc to Influence model ensures that children are not only rescued but also equipped with the education and support needed to become influential adults. Stories of transformation abound: Marcia, once living on the streets, is now pursuing a master's degree in Spain; Stephen, a former slave, is now a teacher advocating against child abuse; and Julio, who faced severe abuse, is now focused on changing the lives of children around him.
