Our Story
In early 1974, seventeen dedicated residents of Manorville came together to form a volunteer ambulance company. Their vision became a reality on April 30, 1974, with the donation of a Cadillac ambulance. Initially, the ambulance was parked at members’ homes, and meetings were held in various locations. The first call for service occurred on July 22, 1974, responding to a motor vehicle accident. Operating without tax funding, the organization relied on donations and personal financing from members. Over the years, MCA expanded its fleet and facilities, establishing a dedicated headquarters and evolving its dispatching methods. Today, MCA operates with advanced ALS and BLS equipment, committed to providing the best EMS care to the community.
