Our Story
MannaFest began in 1999 as a collaborative outreach initiative among local Christian churches, aiming to provide Thanksgiving dinners for those in need in Polk County. Responding to community requests, take-home food boxes were introduced to assist families during the holiday weekend. In 2001, MannaFest became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, allowing it to join the Southeast Texas Food Bank, which enables the purchase of food at an incredibly low cost. In 2002, land was acquired, and a food pantry and storage warehouse were established, which have been serving the community since December 2002.
