Our Story
Manna Project International (MPI) was founded by four Vanderbilt University students who sought to harness the energy of young adults to serve those in need. After several impactful visits to Nicaragua, MPI was established in 2004, beginning with eleven recent graduates in Managua. Over the years, MPI has grown to serve over 1,000 community members annually, focusing on breaking the cycle of poverty through participatory programs in education, health, leadership, and economic development.
