The Millibo Art Theatre, originally founded as the Manitou Art Theatre in 2001, has been a beacon of creativity in the Pikes Peak region. Established by Jim Jackson and Birgitta De Pree, this intimate venue showcases new and original live performances that resonate with audiences of all ages.

Impact on the Community

For over 20 years, the MAT has presented adventurous theatre productions that ignite the imagination and foster community dialogue. With 46 original plays developed by Colorado artists and 136 new works presented, the theatre engages over 8,000 ticket holders each season through its Premiere and Kids First Series. Additionally, MAT has toured to over 1,000 schools, libraries, and festivals, bringing award-winning shows to a wider audience.
