Founded in 1985, Manavi was the first organization in the United States dedicated to addressing the needs of South Asian survivors affected by violence. Initially starting as an awareness campaign, it has evolved into a pioneering force in the South Asian survivors movement, adapting to the changing needs of the community.

Impact

Manavi serves over 900 survivors annually, providing culturally specific and linguistically appropriate services. The organization receives approximately 3,173 calls each year on its multilingual hotline, ensuring that help is accessible to those in need.
