Manatee River Garden Club

Our Story

The Manatee River Garden Club began in the mid-1920s when a group of community-minded women decided to beautify the Manatee River section of Bradenton. Federated in 1934 and incorporated in 1945, the club has a rich history of community service, including supporting the war effort during WWII and various beautification projects throughout the area.

Impact

Through educational programs on environmental studies, horticulture, and floral design, the Manatee River Garden Club supports community initiatives like victory gardens and engages in outreach projects such as working with Meals on Wheels Plus.
