Manatee Community Foundation

Our Story

The Manatee Community Foundation was established in 1993 by Dorothy S. Ridings and incorporated in 1998. Initially a supporting organization of the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, it aimed to raise $1 million in endowment funds for Manatee County. Over the years, MCF has partnered with numerous donor advisors, creating legacy funds and moving into a new building in 2016 to better serve the community.
