Our Story

Manada Conservancy is a dedicated land trust focused on preserving the natural, historic, agricultural, and scenic resources of Dauphin County. Established in 1997, the organization arose from concerns about the loss of farmland and wildlife habitat in the region, with a name that honors the Manada Creek watershed and the area's Native American heritage.

Impact

Since its inception, Manada Conservancy has successfully protected approximately 3,000 acres of land in Dauphin County, with plans for hundreds more. The organization also offers free educational programs that engage participants from multiple counties, fostering community involvement and environmental awareness.
