Malden Neighborhood Basketball League

Our Story

The Malden Neighborhood Basketball League (MNBL) was founded in 1985 by Kenny N. Mazonson to provide at-risk urban high school youth with the opportunity to participate in organized basketball, regardless of their experience or ability. Over the years, the league has positively impacted over 1,500 youth in Malden, creating a safe and supportive environment for them to enjoy the sport.

Impact

MNBL aims to engage 80-90 at-risk, primarily low-income youth in grades 10 through 12 who do not play for their school teams. Through basketball, the league fosters teamwork, personal development, and community engagement.
