Our Story

Make Your Own Ball Day LLC was founded to instill a love for soccer in children while teaching them vital life lessons such as character, leadership, and service. The initiative began in September 2012 in Indiana with the first 'Make Your Own Ball Day', encouraging children to appreciate their privileges and learn gratitude by creating and playing with their own soccer balls. Since then, MYOBD has expanded to include hundreds of soccer clubs and schools, all participating in this impactful event.

Over 10,000 soccer balls and items have been made and donated, significantly impacting children in need by providing essential sports equipment and fostering a sense of community.
