Our Story

Established in 2023, Maitri is the realization of a long-held dream by a group of Bangladeshi enthusiasts in the greater Houston community. Having migrated from Bangladesh, these individuals have come together at mandirs (temples), shared moments in each other’s homes, and celebrated significant life events, often accompanied by delicious khabar (food) and mishti (sweets). This strong bond inspired the creation of Maitri, an organization dedicated to preserving cultural and spiritual heritage while making a positive impact in the community.
