Our Story
The Madison Savoyards began in 1963 with a production of Gilbert and Sullivan's Iolanthe. Since then, this vibrant organization has been dedicated to presenting annual staged productions of Gilbert and Sullivan and other light operas. With fully-staged performances featuring a live orchestra, the Savoyards provide invaluable opportunities for young artists, community members, and emerging professionals. These English-language comic operas are designed to entertain audiences of all ages.
