Originally known as The Opera Workshop, the organization has evolved significantly over the decades, presenting its first full production, La Bohème, in 1963. With a commitment to excellence, Madison Opera has grown from performing one opera per year to producing three operas annually, alongside educational programming and community events like the beloved Opera in the Park.
