Our Story
Founded in 1964, the Madison Land Conservation Trust is one of the oldest land trusts in the United States. This nonprofit organization, led by an all-volunteer board, is committed to conserving the natural resources of the Town of Madison, including its woodlands, water resources, and unique historic places.

The Land Trust protects nearly 1,700 acres of woodlands and wetlands, providing residents and school groups with over 35 miles of trails to enjoy. This enhances community access to nature while preserving vital habitats.
