The Madison Animal Rescue Foundation (MARF) was founded in 2008 to combat the alarming 98% euthanasia rate in Madison, Alabama. Through the dedication of volunteers and fosters, MARF has successfully reduced this rate to virtually zero, saving over 6,000 animals. What began as a grassroots effort with volunteers covering veterinary expenses out of pocket has transformed into a robust organization spending over $150,000 annually on veterinary care.
