Our Story

The Mace’s Lane Community Center, Inc. was established in September 2018 through a partnership between the Good Shepherd Association and the Mace’s Lane High School Alumni Association. This nonprofit organization is dedicated to transforming the historic Mace’s Lane High School building into a vibrant community center. The center aims to foster inclusive participation and provide a safe, environmentally friendly space for children, the arts, education, recreation, and local human services.

Our Impact

The Mace’s Lane Community Center serves as a vital resource for the Dorchester County community, particularly for the African American population.
