Our Story

M.I.K.I.D. Mentally Ill Kids In Distress was founded in 1987 by Sue Gilbertson, driven by the need for better services for children facing mental health challenges. What began as a small support group has blossomed into Arizona's largest family-run behavioral health organization, now extending its vital services into Colorado.
