Our Story

Founded in 1903 by Anna Quale Fergstad, the Lyngblomsten Foundation began as a literary club for Norwegian women and evolved into a dedicated organization providing shelter and care for older adults. Since its incorporation in 1906 and the opening of its first home in 1912, Lyngblomsten has transformed from a volunteer-run initiative to a professionally managed nonprofit, serving seniors of all faiths and backgrounds.
