Our Story
The Lutherville Volunteer Fire Company (LVFC) was established in October 1909 to provide essential fire protection to the Lutherville community. Originating from a critical need for reliable firefighting capabilities, LVFC has a rich history marked by significant events, including a major fire at the Maryland College for Women in 1911. Over the years, LVFC has evolved, moving to a new firehouse in 1928 and becoming a community hub for various social functions.
