Our Story
Lutheran Social Services of Southern California (LSSSC) began in December 1944, uniting Lutheran congregations in San Diego and Los Angeles to support struggling families. Officially incorporated in 1946, LSSSC has remained committed to its mission of compassionate service, impacting thousands through over 70 programs across nearly 20 locations.
Impact
Last year, LSSSC served 50,886 meals, assisted 1,227 individuals with housing insecurity, and provided mental health services to 5,162 people. Our educational programs achieved a 100% graduation rate, empowering students for future success.
