About the Lutheran Hymn Festival
Founded in Dallas, Texas, the Lutheran Hymn Festival began in the early 1990s with a mission to promote Lutheran hymnody and celebrate faith through music. The inaugural festival took place in 1993, featuring renowned guest organist Martin Jean. Since then, the festival has continued to flourish, hosting notable organists such as Jeffrey Blersch, Steven Wente, and David Cherwien. The Festival Children’s Choir, composed of young singers from various Lutheran churches in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and the Festival Adult Choir, representing a diverse SATB ensemble, come together to create a vibrant musical experience.
